There are two things I like in this world: coffee and beer. Both are social drinks that are enjoyed best surrounded by friends and conversation. What happens when you combine them? Ascension Coffee and Community Beer got together created Ascension Community Coffee Porter. So. Tasty.
Of course, porter is one of my favorite types of beer already and it lends itself to the roasty toasty notes of coffee. You don't sip this beer and think, "It's a good porter, but I don't get the coffee part." No sir...it smells like a fresh-brewed coffee, and you can taste it throughout.
The Coffee Porter is only a limited release brew, so it is kinda hard to find at this point. But if you see it on the menu, order it up and enjoy.
